Eight in a Row - Sox Champs Again

The Red Sox are the 2007 World Series Champions!! Did you believe they would sweep the Rockies? Did you think they would sweep the Cardinals in '04? Me neither. Eight world series games in a row. How do I feel? I can't put it into words. I just want to celebrate with the team and live in the moment. To tell you the truth, I'm a little jealous that I'm not back home now, celebrating with the Nation. It's just not the same watching the Rolling Rally from Channel 4 streaming video.

I remember when my dad took us out of school to watch the Celtics parade in '86. It was awesome. You felt like you were part of the team. Something I'll never forget. We actually saw Bill Walton driving through Harvard Square after the parade on his way home. These are the times when I feel home sick. So, like everyone else, I rely on the internet and my cell phone to keep me in touch.

I call my 93 year old grandmother and get her thoughts on the game. She loves Wakefield, but hates Schilling. She is a die hard Boston sports fan through and through. I call my family, my buddies, I call anyone who will listen to me rant and rave about the Sawx. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

So now we can bask in the glory of another World Series win, look forward to hopefully seeing the Pat's in another Super Bowl, actually get to watch the Celtics on T.V. and see them win with the new Big 3 and possibly be home to the BCS Champion Boston College Eagles. Life is good for NE sports fans. Let's ride the wave.
